With over three decades of experience, Swami Swarupananda/Lisa is a passionate advocate for holistic well-being. An ordained Kriya Yoga Swami and a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), she integrates the profound wisdom of yoga and spirituality to empower individuals. Her expertise spans traditional and mystical Kriya yoga, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, yoga philosophy alongside current pain neuroscience, making her uniquely positioned to address a wide range of needs.
Currently based in Courtenay BC, Swami Lisa holds key leadership roles: Co-Director and Lead Trainer at Pain Care Aware, and faculty member at Inner Peace Yoga Therapy School (Colorado USA) and Yoga Health Academy- Canada. Lisa also serves as the Director for Broken Squirrel Yoga Studio, drawing on her past experience as a Yoga Studio and Wellness Center Owner and her skilled understanding of building studio programing in yoga therapeutics.
Swami Lisa educates yoga teachers/therapists internationally, creating curriculum and facilitating in 200-hour, 300-hour, and 800-hour Yoga therapeutic programs, specialized CE programs and immersive retreats. She also offers a year-long mentorship program focused on Meditation and Spiritual Health, along with the internationally recognized Pain Care Aware Certification Programs.
