Restorative Yoga Training for Stress Reduction & Resiliency  

Whether you are a yoga teacher or therapist, a health care provider, a caregiver, or an individual seeking to enhance your well-being through deep relaxation; this training will teach you restorative yoga to enhance relaxation and  promote stress resiliency for yourself and those in your care. 

This (15-hour CE) Restorative Yoga Training is accessible to all. The experiential curriculum is designed for anyone interested in gaining or enhancing their understanding and application of  the profound benefits of Restorative Yoga. 

About Your Teacher:

Lisa Pearson/Swami Swarupanand is a Kriya Yoga Swami, Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500). A Yoga Educator for more than two decades, Lisa trains yoga teachers/therapists internationally; creating curriculum and facilitating in 200-hour, 300-hour yoga teacher training programs (YTT’s), and 800-hour Yoga Therapy Programs, specialized CE programs, and immersive yoga retreats. She also offers Yoga Therapy Mentorships in Meditation and Spiritual Health and in Treating People with Fibromyalgia, and is the Lead Trainer for the internationally recognized Pain Care Aware Certification Programs. Lisa is also the BS Yoga Studio’s new Studio Director focusing on bringing therapeutic yoga programming into our healing space.

What to Expect:

Setting Up Restorative Yoga - you’ll learn exactly how to prop shapes for individual needs. Discover and practice at least 21 restorative asana with the use of props, learning their Sanskrit names and the specific benefits associated with each. You will gain hands-on experience setting up restorative yoga shapes to maximize comfort and relaxation. This training is like a mini retreat. Let go of  stress while you learn and experience for yourself the power of the practices.

- Learn Breathing Techniques That Support and Calm the nervous system : Delve into pranayama, exploring simple and effective breathing techniques.

- Deep Relaxation Practices and Techniques: Engage in guided deep relaxation sessions that will allow you to experience the transformative effects of letting go and finding inner peace.

- Learn the Joint Freeing Series ~ Divine Wind / Pawanmuktasana Sequence: Learn the principles of the Pawanmuktasana practice, which includes gentle movements which alleviate tension throughout the body, preparing you for deeper states of relaxation while also building stress resiliency.

- Experience : Restorative postures while receiving guidance in meditation & mindfulness techniques. Participate in guided body scans and mindfulness exercises that enhance self-awareness and promote a sense of well-being, including passive progressive relaxation.

- Educational Components: Gain a thorough understanding of the benefits of restorative yoga, including its role in stress management, emotional regulation, and overall health. Learn up to date science of stress and relaxation, and how these practices can be utilized to foster resilience.

- Facilitation Skills: Develop skills in creating a safe and supportive environment for others. Part of the training will focus on holding space and on facilitation techniques necessary for guiding individuals through the restorative practice.

- The Seat of the Teacher and Self Love: Explore the qualities of being a compassionate and effective teacher/guide, enabling you to share restorative practices with others in a grounded and confident manner. Apply these techniques to being present and compassionate to others or even enhancing your capacity to serving self and others with love.

This training qualifies for Continuing Education (CE) credits for yoga teachers and yoga therapists. This training is designed to empower participants at all levels of experience. You will leave feeling more equipt to integrate restorative practices into your own life and share them with others, championing a journey of stress reduction and resilience.
